Southdown Veterinary Group is a two branch small animal practice with RCVS accredited status; this means that our professional body, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, regularly inspects our premises. We strive to provide a high standard of treatment and care to our clients and their pets.
Both our Southwick and Hove branches are fully equipped to carry out many operations and diagnostic tests. We have car parking facilities at our Southwick and Hove branches, all of our branches are assessable by bus.
Southdown Veterinary Group is an approved veterinary nurse training centre for student nurses, so we have a good mix of qualified and training nursing staff; we also have experienced and newly qualified veterinary surgeons who between them have a high level of knowledge and experience to offer our clients and their pets.
Southdown Veterinary Group originated from three well established practices, Southdown Southwick and Shoreham were originally called Anicare, these sites have been a veterinary practice for over 40 years, and the Hove branch was originally called Wilton House. These practices were successfully merged together in the 1990’s to form Southdown Veterinary Group.
In June 2017 a decision was made to permanently close the Shoreham branch. Having our vets, nurses and receptionists working between our Hove and Southwick sites, we can provide a much better service and facilities. Providing more appointments, better continuity with the vets you wish to see and other services; such as regular nurse, weight, and diabetic clinics along with much more.
